Prof. R.P.H,Chang, General Secretary of International Union of Materials Research Societies visited Tsinghua on November 18. Tsinghua President Gu Binglin met and talked with Prof. Chang. Prof. Li Hengde, academician of ChineseAcademy of Engineering and director of Academy Committee of School of Materials Science and Engineering, and Prof. Zhu Jing, academician of ChineseAcademy of Science and President of School of Materials Science and Engineering attended the talks.

The two sides exchanged ideas on material science, research and education.

Prof. Chang visited laboratories of Department of Chemistry and School of Materials Science and Engineering, and Tsinghua-FoxconnNanotechnologyResearchCenter.
