The 2010 HLHL (Ho Leung Ho Lee) Prize conferral ceremony was held in Beijing on October 20. Professor Zhang Jinqiu, a Tsinghua alumna and currently Chief Architect at the China Northwest Building Design Research Institute, won the HLHL Prize for Scientific and Technological Achievement. Professor Zhang Boming of Tsinghua University won the HLHL Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress.

Since their establishment in 1994, the HLHL Prizes have been awarded to 901 outstanding scientists in China. In 2010, one scientist won the HLHL Prize for Scientific and Technological Achievement, 33 won the HLHL Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress, and 17 received HLHL Prizes for Innovation.
